Last night we concluded the pilot program for the Web Dev Pipeline, a new partnership initiative aimed at creating paid internship opportunities by connecting talented student developers with entrepreneuers and startups in need of custom websites and apps.

The web dev interns all did a fantastic job with their end-of-internship presentations and it was so cool to see what they learned and accomplished!
Great job Yeshe Jangchup, William Acosta Lora, Jacob Hellenbrand, and Nelson Mondale!

Huge shout out to our partners at Macalester College for helping to plan and coordinate, Jinna Johnson, Kerri Roesner and to Lauren Milne for acting as faculty advisor!
And to Cihan Behlivan for promoting the opportunity to his BETA members and for hosting us at BETA HQ!

We're very proud of our pilot and everyone who participated. Looking forward to expanding this program and bringing it to more campuses across the Twin cities!

The Minnesota Technology Association brought the SciTech Internship Program bill to the House this morning, bright and early! Getting to walk up the steps of the Capitol Building made it feel especially meaningful.

We were joined by SciTech Alumni Andrew Thomas, who after securing an internship through Superior Managed IT was then hired fulltime and has since started his career in IT and cybersecurity. We're delighted to have helped facilitate the connection and were very grateful to Andrew for sharing his expereince with the committee in support of SciTech's request for continued funding.

Thank you again to the team at Momentum Advocacy and to everyone who wrote a letter of support or emailed their representatives about the importance of continuing to fund this essential workforce resource!

Here's hoping for two more years of STEM internships in Minnesota!

During their internships at Carba, Inc., Sylvia Berka and Matthew Steil helped develop a new reactor designed to turn harmful CO2 into a stable form of carbon.

They learned first-hand that in real-world applications, many of the questions you encounter don't have easy answers...but there's something kind of exciting about that!

We had the pleasure of meeting an awesome group of STEM majors at our Lunch & Learn event today! With students from Normandale Community College, Augsburg University, University of Minnesota Twin Cities, Minnesota State University, Mankato, and Carleton College it truly was a cross-campus event!

Ama Asantewaa gave a great presentation on the power of a professional portfolio and how to craft one as a STEM major.

Thanks to everyone who came out! It was a fun way to welcome the weekend.
