Reading Corps

For Jane, a former elementary school administrative assistant, joining Reading Corps felt like an approachable way to return to a school setting. She and her husband had recently retired, but both felt eager to find new opportunities. After seeing him thrive in his post-retirement job as a paraprofessional at a nearby elementary school, she decided to get involved as a Reading Tutor.

Jane says she loves seeing excitement in her learners, especially younger students. "I want to help them achieve their goals," she shares.

On this , help us celebrate Kelsey! She has been passionate about working with kids since she was 16 years old, and after graduating from dental school, she wanted to return to the to the field. That's when she found Reading Corps and decided to tutor local students in Decatur, Georgia.

Kelsey shares that she is happy to be a great example for the students she tutors, and wants her students to get the support that she did not receive as a child.
