The YWCA Women’s Tri at Lake Nokomis was Elizabeth’s first triathlon and it got her hooked. It is a super supportive and inclusive event, open to people at all levels. Elizabeth got to participate with women of all ages, abilities, and confidence levels. (At one point she passed a woman on a Huffy Cranbrook!) There were mom’s and daughters (including a mom-to-be!), children and elderly, individuals, teams. The crowds are amazing too. Could not recommend a better event. (Look for the Recovery Bike Shop tent too!)

Volunteers:
- People who can move about the course on a bike (max 12 miles)
- Course monitors direct racers and viewers who need assistance
- Cheer on the racers!
- Also need mechanics who can perform minor repairs
- Free Tshirt and food!

You will have fun! (And be helping with something great.)

We almost lost Chimborazo due to a basement fire. This has impacted operations, but they’re not closing!

And they need support! That’s us. That’s you. That’s me.

They’ve got a long slog ahead to recover from the fire. And that comes with expenses (insurance is never enough). So Coffee (Outside) Sunday 10am at Chimborazo. Come get brunch. Buy dinner to take home while you’re at it. Bring a friend. Call your mom and invite her to come along. Then schedule all your appointments at Chimborazo for the foreseeable future.

Herbivorous Butcher made it back. Momo Sushi is coming back. Chimborazo needs us now. And we need them!

Also join us for yoga at 9am at Recovery Bike Shop (free to all)

And our weekly Community Ride at 11:00ish right after Coffee (Outside)

And just for good measure, the shop is closed today, July 4. Have a safe weekend, everyone!

Last but not least, the long awaited recipe for Lex’s double-chip cookies. That’s right, folks, those are the chocolate and potato chip cookies from a couple weeks ago. And they’re so good, Coffee (Outsiders) demanded the recipe. Enjoy (preferably outside).

Recovery Bike Shop has free yoga every Sunday at 9am. We have volunteer instructors who recognize that self-care is at the heart of any sustainable action. And we work every day toward a healthier and more sustainable community in Northeast Minneapolis.

So please feel free to join us. All are welcome. And when you do show up, you are participating in creating a healthy community. Thank you.
