Four of Minnesota's most enduring Black-led institutions are joining forces to help ensure they remain strong for generations to come.
In interviews with Mshale, the leaders of Aurora St Anthony Ndc, Hallie Q. Brown Community Center, Phyllis Wheatley Community Center and Urban League Twin Cities say the new Legacy Stabilization Collaborative is about much more than a partnership. It's a long-term investment in leadership, financial resilience and the future of Black institutions serving communities across Minneapolis, St. Paul and beyond.
Mshale also examined public IRS filings and spoke with three of the collaborative's executive leaders about why they believe the effort is needed now.

Nearly 200 years after their histories first intertwined, Maryland and Liberia have signed a landmark partnership aimed at expanding cooperation in trade, education, public health and investment.

The agreement builds on a unique historical relationship dating back to the 1830s and opens a new chapter in ties between the U.S. state and the West African nation.
