We’ve had a lot of buyers shopping new construction lately so I wanted to share some considerations when it comes to buying new construction.
1️⃣ Hire a buyer’s agent — The builder’s rep works for the builder, not you. You deserve your own representation!
2️⃣ Flexible timelines — Weather, permits, and materials can delay completion.
3️⃣ Know what’s included in base price — Model homes often feature upgrades that aren’t standard, though you may have the opportunity to customize the home if you chose to build rather than buying an already completed home.
4️⃣ Get an inspection — our inspectors often times find things in new homes too. Always a good idea to do your due diligence!
5️⃣ Budget + plan for the extras — Landscaping, blinds, deck/patio, and appliances are not always included. Gutters are also usually never included but an investment well worth your money right away!
