S T R E E T E R hired us and they were great to work with. We quickly and carefully removed this “Brazilian Cherry” aka Jatoba, leaving them with a clean slate. The nice family that’s going to install it in their home has three young boys and a dog.. A perfect fit because this is some of the hardest/ most durable flooring there is. They said they’re not going to refinish right away.. maybe they will refinish in about 10 years when the boys are older. I think everyone agrees this is better than sending it to the landfill, which is the standard practice.

Uppfinna aka Erik, the Duluth Lumberstash guy is fixing up his sweet old boat “Run Amok”. He salvaged the new White Pine mast from a 100 year old Superior, WI barn….. If I was a beam in a Superior, WI barn, it would be a dream come true to become a mast and sail on the biggest most beautiful lake. I could write a children’s book about the life of that White Pine. It grew from a seedling in a pristine old growth forest, held up a barn for 100 years, then was rescued to go sailing on the big lake.
