Every time I walk into any of the villas, my eyes go straight to the beautiful historic tile. Nearly 100 years later, it's still one of my favorite features in each of the spaces.

When we began renovating the villas, preserving these original tiles wasn't even a question… it was a must. They hold so much history, character, and craftsmanship that simply can't be recreated today.

Watching each of these rooms come back to life while keeping one of its most special original details is one of the most rewarding parts of the restoration. ❤️❤️❤️

Do you know Dan-O's Seasoning?!

I had the incredible privilege of meeting him in DC this week. And when I heard his story I was all 😱😱😱😱😱!

He was literally a bartender.

One day about 11 years ago, he served up some chicken tossed with some of his homemade seasoning.

The guy was ASTOUNDED and told Dano he should sell it! It was that good.

Dan got to work. He knew nothing about packaging, regulations or sales.

He was scrappy and watched a lot of videos.

He started selling his seasonings in flea markets.

Then, social media exploded his business. He simply …. posted the video…. And posted again and again and again…..

And now, he has built a brand and a collective following of over 10M!!

His seasonings are now in 20,000+ stores nationwide.

Moral of the story: Just like me, Dano started at 0. Neither of us are an overnight success. It takes LOTS of hard work, LOTS of late nights, being scrappy, and lots of figuring things out when you don’t know how. But if we can do it, you can do it too! Do the work. Post the content. Build your brand. 💪💪
