Zach Pietrini

Well folks it’s here. Im officially 40. Not sure what I thought it would feel like but I certainly don’t feel like I thought 40 would feel. I’m still finding my way. Still adjusting. Still changing. Still trying to be the best version of myself I can for me and those around me.

It was a great day of reflection, calm and fun. I jumped in Lake Michigan (which is none of those things) which reminds me I’m alive. Carry out from our favorite French restaurant. Enjoying our house. Listening to records. Dancing in the entry way. Smoking on the porch. Watching the sun set on our lovely neighborhood. Eating popsicles and a delicious dessert (not very common for me these days so very welcomed).

It was nice to celebrate quietly. To enjoy the space and I have created. To sit quietly and let music move our souls.

I dont know what the future holds. I do know I’m making the best art of my life and I am getting more and more excited to share it with you all. Im feeling more settled in myself. Im feeling more like myself. I’m feeling a peace knowing I am doing all I know how to do and the rest will fall how it does.

honestly, in the end, you are only as old as you feel. So here’s to more years of creating. More years of being weird. More years of doing what makes me happy. 😘

OMG. Friends. I’m excited is excited. Are you excited?!

We will be driving around ILLINOIS playing acoustic shows, swapping songs, singing together. Having an absolute blast. We would love for you to come hang out and have a good time with us.

- our bands played music together back in the late 00’s
- I played drums for 2 shows? With him
- they played at my wedding
- Marky just gave me a tattoo
- we’ve never kissed. We aren’t opposed. The moment just never came up
