Urban Spelunking: Milwaukee-Western Fuel Co. / Work Lofts / Izumi's building The building 2140-50 N. Prospect Ave. isn't large, but you can't miss it because of its striking exterior. Built in 1934 as headquarters for the Milwaukee-Western Fuel Company, the building was designed by hometown architect Herbert Tullgren, who drew a two-story Art Deco gem of a building.
