I asked AI to create a sketchbook-style vision board of me, my story, my work, my faith, and the things I value.
And honestly, it made me pause.
Because when I look at these images, I see more than pictures.
I see purpose.
I see faith.
I see family.
I see sacrifice.
I see students.
I see mentoring.
I see books.
I see leadership.
I see Marquette, EOP, Pre-College, TRIO, and the work of opening doors for others.
I see the little boy, the man, the mentor, the speaker, the author, the coach, and the builder still becoming.
I see Steps On Purpose™.
I see RUN • WIN • IMPACT.
I see Mentoring on Purpose.
I see Prayers Formed by the Word of God.
I see Stevie and the Mark That Shined.
I see a life that keeps saying, “God, use what You placed in me to help somebody else.”
That is really what this is about.
Not just being seen.
But serving.
Building.
Leading.
Lifting.
Believing.
Helping others take their next step.
This reminded me that purpose is not just something you talk about.
Purpose is something you live.
Purpose is something you carry.
Purpose is something you steward.
Purpose is something you multiply.
Still building.
Still becoming.
Still believing.
Still walking with purpose.
What would show up if your life became a sketchbook vision board?
There was a time in my life when I did not fully believe in myself.
But there were people who saw me not for how I was acting, but for who I could become.
They believed in me before I believed in myself.
They borrowed me their belief until mine kicked in.
That is why I am passionate about the work I do today.
Someone made an impact on my life, and that impact changed my direction.
Now I choose to believe in students the same way.
To give voice to those who feel unseen.
To remind you that you matter.
If you are struggling to believe right now, that is okay.
Sometimes borrowed belief is the spark that changes everything.
