Each year, our internship program is designed to give emerging architects and designers hands-on experience, meaningful mentorship, and exposure to real projects that shape the communities we serve. It’s an opportunity to learn, grow, and collaborate—while gaining insight into the impact thoughtful design can have.

Join Partner Steven A. Kieckhafer and Project Manager Doug Kunde, at the Spring Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials Conference for a discussion on how life safety and building codes can directly impact school planning, renovation concepts, and facility budgets.

This session will help school leaders and facility professionals better understand how code requirements related to egress, occupancy, and fire-resistance-rated construction can influence project scope, design decisions, and long-term operational planning. Attendees will also gain practical insight into key exit design concepts and their role in creating safe, functional learning environments.

This session explores how strong community interest in expanded educational and recreational opportunities led Franklin Public Schools to invest in a new $8.2M facility supporting year-round programming. Located on a shared 52.5-acre campus, the facility combines district operations, community services, and a wellness clinic in one accessible space. Attendees will hear perspectives from planning through project completion.
