Huge for MMA to be aligned with United World Wrestling who oversees Olympic Wrestling 🤼

MMA is an an original Olympic sport called Pankration in Ancient Greece 🇬🇷 One step closer for Olympic Recognition.

I want to add trained Olympic Champion to my legacy as a coach.

The United States Federation of Mixed Martial Arts (dba GAMMA USA) is the sole recognized governing body for the sports of Pankration (Youth) and now also Amateur MMA (18+) under the UWW platform.

United World Wrestling (UWW) is a full IOC recognized world governing body of Olympic Wrestling and Associated Styles. We will continue to work closely under the provisions of UWW to ensure our growth in the USA and to work toward full inclusion of Amateur MMA into the Olympic Games, PanAm Games, and other IOC recognized events. Although our International Federation is a full IOC member, our next step inside the USA is to now apply for recognition under the US Olympic Committee. We have already started discussions with the USOPC to begin that process and the application window will reopen in 2026.

The sport of Pankration under UWW has had a complete overhaul/reorganization and is now consistent to our current Youth MMA development programs in the USA. The Inagural UWW Pankration World Championship (under 18) will take place in Greece Oct/Nov time and details still TBD.

The inagural UWW Amateur MMA World Championships (18+) will take place in Novi Sad, Serbia Oct 17-19th.

UWW Grappling World Chamionships will also be held in Novi Sad, Serbia Oct 15-16th. Please reach out directly to USA Grappling for more details on that specfic ruleset and event.

The Youth Fight Team went undefeated 6-0 at the Tournament today.
