30 lbs down since I started focusing on my health three years ago. Here are two poor quality photos + my five biggest take-aways:

1. Intermittent fasting is a YAS. I only eat between 12pm-8pm, giving my body time to digest and use the fuel I’ve given it. I LOVE “The Circadian Code” by Dr Sachin Panda to learn more.

2. Minimizing alcohol is a YAS. I’ve stopped drinking during the week but I LOVE me some cocktails on the weekend, and I don’t feel bad about it when I indulge. So many less calories, so much better sleep.

3. Dieting is a NAS. Cutting out foods just doesn’t work for me. I’m an everything in moderation girlie! That being said, I’ve had great success making better choices over all, like having a banana with a little yogurt and peanut butter instead of ice cream for dessert (then eating the ice cream on the weekend!)

4. Exercise is a YAS YAS YAS. Especially strength training - For the body, for the brain, it’s just necessary. But finding excersize that’s FUN and doesn’t take up hours of time is key. HIT kettle bell training, biking, yoga - these are my faves.

5. Choosing myself every day is the ultimate YAS. I’m so grateful to finally understand what my late partner (and fitness guru) Landen was always trying to teach me. “You have to invest in yourself and your health… and ‘dat ASS.” Once you make this healthy habit investments, they really start to pay off.
