Before we announce this year’s winners, we want to pause and recognize the incredible progress made by our 2024 Lightbulb Grant recipients, Valerie Fuller and Jessica Knap. ​

Val built a brand that supports teachers by creating a wishlist platform designed to ease the financial burden of paying for classroom materials and student activities out of their own pockets. ​

Jess used her grant to fund the final stages of her first documentary feature, “Extinction,” which brings together a powerful range of voices to explore the relationship between paleontology and commercial fossil collecting. ​

Huge congratulations to both Val and Jess on everything they’ve accomplished in just one year. We’re proud to support the passion projects that are near and dear to our employees’ hearts.
