Meet MCTS Network Engineer Del 💻🖧

Del’s journey from help desk support at Milwaukee County IMSD to Network Engineer at MCTS shows what growth looks like with the right support and opportunity.

Through the MCTS mentoring program, Del expanded into network infrastructure and cybersecurity while stepping up during staffing shortages.

“I work with an amazing team who helped me gain the knowledge I needed,” he shared.

With support from colleagues across IT, CIO/Chief Information Security Officer Bill Bethia, and Local 9 Chief Union Steward Alesha Monk, Del moved from Jr. Network Engineer into his current role.

His advice: “Talk to your supervisor, manager, or director. Let them know your goals.”

When he’s off the clock, Del still enjoys a little DJing for fun 🎧
