Bloom in Red was inspired by the color red. Red represents strength, courage, determination, confidence, love and fire. It represents all the strong Hmong women out there, again doing their thing and making a move in our community and in life. It also really represents me as a designer. I am confident in my trade: sewing, I am always determined to do the most, and I love what I do: designing and making beautiful dresses!

Introducing our ninth model, Mai! Here’s what she had to say:

“Hello, my name is Mai. I've been modeling on and off for quite a few years now. I'm super excited to be walking for Shoua Xiong Designs. The designs from last year's show were so magical. ✨️

Aside from modeling, I'm a big foodie and love all things beauty. Currently, I have been doing small acting projects along with model photo shoots.

I look forward to seeing and working with everyone in this year's show. 🫶”
