Year 17

2,579... that's how many boxes were distributed throughout SouthEast Wisconsin...delivering the last ones on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day night. Even though drop off locations were shifted and with uncertainty, our entire community showed up, I even received donations from half way across the country to further the mission and we did!

*17 schools- a record (I personally saw teachers and school counselors cry because they were about to gift to their students...)
*Hospitality Center
*2-Womens shelters
*People receiving treatment for Cancer.
*Children's Hospital intake division
* Veterans-homeless and or alone
*memory care facilities
* group homes
*Elderly
*and the homeless living on the streets, we found them!

This entire undertaking could never be possible without the space provided to us by several local businesses...
Milaeger's Stinebrink's Kenosha Piggly Wiggly Spitfires on State
And to all the elves, even from afar, every bit of time and resources given helped to make this year our most successful by how far we reached and gifted... Patti Wilson Andersen our chief wrapper and sorter, we'd be lost without you and Anthony, who sleighrides all over Kenosha and Racine playing Santa with Shoeboxes in tow🌲
"Thank you" could never be enough, however, the impact of every kindness act is the definition of "humanity" and I'm privileged to have a front row seat to witness the goodness and love...πŸ’™

It definitely takes a village...

Never transactional, but impactful.

We had these 20 boxes delivered from Big Bend to help support Santa In A Shoebox mission.
Just as giving the boxes to deserving recipients it is equally important that we also help in building future leaders...
Thank you so much and job well done in leaving a lasting impression on your surrounding communities. This all goes farther than any of us can fully comprehend.

From one of the facilitating parents:

"Washington 4-H club is part of the Waukesha county 4-H. Our club meets at Christ Lutheran in Big Bend. We have monthly meetings in which we try to do some sort of service project, this month being the shoeboxes.

In 4-H, we pledge our head to clearer thinking, heart to greater loyalty, hands to large service and health to better living. (These are the four β€œHs”). Each youth participates in learning opportunities within the community. Skills are developed with different projects and then in turn the youth become leaders as they share their knowledge to younger kids."

The spirit of Christmas hit hard at A and E Handtools, Racine AND Santa witnessed it ALL. They assembled 57 stuffed and wrapped boxes and a cash donation to make even more boxes. Thank you A and E Handtools for being a shining light in the Racine community. Every Box equals another blessing... πŸŽ„
