THE SANKOFA HOLISTIC COMMUNITY CENTER
GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT:
Supporting holistic healing through beautiful, community-centered green space.
Through the Fresh Coast Green Communities program, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) and Greenprint Partners are working with Sankofa Holistic Community Center to build green
infrastructure that reduces the risk of sewer overflows, improves climate resiliency, and helps protect Lake Michigan. Green infrastructure is a cost-saving, attractive, eco-friendly landscaping solution that helps property owners manage water that falls on their buildings and grounds. subsurface water storage system beneath the parking lot and resilient, deep-rooted native plants.. Read more below!
