Happy Fourth of July, everyone! My daughters, Bella and Madison, and I just finished walking in the Humboldt Park Parade! This was our first stop of the day and the turnout was incredible!

As we celebrate 250 years of America’s independence, I’m reminded of the values that bring us together: family, friendship, and the spirit of unity.

I want to give a shoutout to the Milwaukee Vibe Coding Summer Camp. I had the opportunity to spend time with them recently at their closing ceremony to congratulate the students turned trailblazers and their supporting family as well as involved industry leaders. The five-day technology and innovation program held at ThriveOn King and led by Nouvelle Marketing, powered by Base44, brought together 11 students in grades 7 through 12, serving predominantly underserved youth from across the Milwaukee area to explore artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and digital innovation. Thank you all again for your hard work and congratulations to each student for earning their Early Builder Certification.

Today the community came together, united for Venezuela. United by Milwaukee spirit.

In the face of devastation, true leadership means bringing people together and it means taking action. That’s why I am grateful for William Contreras, Jackson Chourio, and Nestor Corredor, and the organizations including Forward Latino whose leadership made unity and action in Milwaukee possible today as the “United for Venezuela” Emergency Relief Effort was launched.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support that effort today.
