⚠️Hot Weather & Dogs PSA/Rant⚠️
I am not going to sugarcoat this because I see too many pets come close to death or severely injured because of irresponsible pet owners.

It's gonna be a hot weekend and sounds like possibly an unusually hot summer for us 🥵 So...for the love of god, if it's hot out, LEAVE YOUR PETS AT HOME!!!! You're risking their lives when you take them out to events and markets and it's 80°+ out! They can overheat and get injured in 70° weather, so over 80°, 90°, 100° is SOOOO much worse!

On hot days I FREQUENTLY see owners standing in booths talking while their dogs are dancing lifting their paws because their feet are literally burning or their dog is trying to hide under the tables to get in the shade and cool down. The number of people that I see DRAG their dogs out of the booth while they are trying to take a shade break to cool down is unbelievable. You care more about shopping and getting to the next booth then your own dog's wellbeing. YOU will be the death of your dog! If you can't care for it while it's out in the heat, leave it home. Heat stroke happens SO fast and is incredibly deadly!

On warmer days, I often have people come into my booth and comment that Murdock must be hot because people and other dogs walking around are hot. The difference between me bringing Murdock to work with me and you bringing your dogs is that we are stationary, have fans, ice, cold water and in the shade with a barrier between his paws and the asphalt. You are walking your dogs in the hot sun, burning their paws by forcing them to walk on the asphalt with barely any shade. Half the time, I don't see owners even giving their dogs water or stopping to take breaks.

I will be caring for Murdock over greeting my own customers that literally pay me because his health and safety come FIRST!

Don't get me started on leaving your pets in the car with the windows "down" (cracked like 2 inches). Just don't do it!!! 🤬
