This week marks a pivotal moment for 17 Practical Nursing students as they prepare to take the next step toward their future careers.

While 1,207 hours is the required length of the program, it doesn't begin to reflect the countless hours, sacrifices, determination, and heart each student has invested along the way. They have been challenged, inspired, and strengthened. Through it all, they have proven they are Built for What's Next.

This week we celebrate the completion of their program. Tomorrow, we honor their accomplishments during the 2026 Practical Nursing Pinning Ceremony. And on Friday, the future becomes reality as they take the next step toward becoming licensed nurses.

These students have successfully met the requirements established by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and are now eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN licensure examination. The knowledge has been gained, the skills have been developed, and now it is time to prove themselves.

We are also deeply grateful for the instructional staff who have invested so much in helping each student achieve their dream. While the students' time at MDTC may be coming to an end, the mentorship, encouragement, and connections built with their instructors will last far beyond graduation.
