When do I know it's time to switch up my haircare during the season changes?

We've been enjoying this beautiful Fall weather here lately and though it may not last for long before second Summer is back, it does remind us that change is in the air. 🍂☀And when the air changes from our lovely humid and hot Richmond weather, to cooler and less humidity we might begin to notice changes in our hair as well.

This begs the question is my Summer hair routine something I can keep doing in the Fall and Winter? Most of the time we notice our scalp getting drier the colder the air gets and when there is less moisture in the air our scalp and skin starts to feel it. Once you start to notice changes in your skin and scalp it's definitely time to switch things up. Here are 3 checks that can help you know when it's time for a switch.

Check 1️⃣: Is my skin or scalp feeling dry? Time to switch to more moisture either in my shampoo or conditioner.

Check 2️⃣: Is my hair laying flat without the humidity? Time to switch to volume products for styling or ones with more hold for body.

Check 3️⃣: Is my hair feeling straw like or flying away after I style it? More moisture in your cleansing routine as well as styling products. That could be a deep conditioner after shampoo as well as switching to a taming lotion for styling.
