Council approves parking space exception for Brew Street

Who’s ready for Brew street to reopen??!!!
We sure are! We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work through a few extra hurdles on our relocation journey. We are currently at the occupancy approval checkpoint. Due to the fact that we are 2 blocks from downtown, within walking distance to dozens of other businesses, the bus stop in front of our property, and our plan to have a bike rack, we are asking the city to give us an exception to the traditional parking to occupancy calculation. This process takes time since you have to wait and go before city council to present your request. Our request will be heard by city council next Tuesday, June 28th at 10am. Their decision will impact our reopen timeline and ability to reopen Brew Street in a beautiful historic home. If you’re one of our regular supporters, a cyclist, a business close to our new location at 111 N. C, a parent, student or teacher at Midland High( you can walk to us!) , a proponent of getting some extra exercise, coffee lover, small business supporter, or just simply love Brew St, we welcome you to come on out and support us at next Tuesday’s city council meeting at city hall. Let’s pack the place and show them how much Brew means to the community!!!
