Yesterday, Tina and Stephanie had the opportunity to take a handful of our residents, those who were able to get the day off work, to the zoo.

It was about so much more than seeing the animals. It was about making memories, sharing laughs, and spending meaningful time together. For a few hours, they got to forget the weight of life, be kids again, and simply enjoy the wonder and excitement of the day.

Sometimes the greatest gift we can give someone isn’t a program or a service, it’s the chance to laugh freely, experience joy, and be reminded that they’re deeply loved.

These are the moments that bring hope, restore hearts, and create memories that last a lifetime. ❤️

Thank you to First Presbyterian for allowing us to use your mini bus and to everyone who helps make days like this possible. ❤️🐾🦒

Monday night, Christina Payne, Founder of Within Reach, along with one of her employees Bradley, kicked off an 8-week “Life After The Life” class with our young men and our young women, focused on building healthy relationships and creating a foundation for lasting success.

For many of our residents, healing means learning how to navigate life after experiencing unimaginable challenges such as human trafficking, family violence, abandonment, and homelessness. While recovery begins with safety and stability, true transformation happens when they gain the tools needed to build healthy connections, recognize their worth, set boundaries, and create a different future for themselves.

We are incredibly grateful for Christina and Bradley investing their time, wisdom, and hearts into our young people. Every lesson, conversation, and opportunity to grow helps break cycles of trauma and opens the door to hope, healing, and healthy relationships.

The journey doesn’t end when someone escapes exploitation or crisis, it continues as they learn how to thrive. 💙
