The Balanced Dog

It is with great sadness that we share with you today the passing yesterday of our great friend and operator Anne Sparks. She is at peace now and resting and with joy we send her to the stars. Anne was the heart of our Balanced Dog family and we will all miss her greatly. ❤️

So I never do this. But…never say never, right? As many of you know, I lost my beloved Deebo last week. What most of you don’t know is that Deebo was a MASA dog. The picture below is the picture of Deebo that sent me running to Midland Animal Services a little over 8 years ago to adopt him. I was absolutely not looking for another dog at the time, but that face, those sad and scared eyes…
I intended, and have, made a donation to MASA in Deebo’s memory and honor. Had it not been for their posting this picture, I’d have missed out on one of the best friends of my life.
So here’s the “I never…” part. I am asking anyone who feels moved to do so, to make a donation to MASA, to help them continue the work they do to network the dogs at Midland Animal Services. Or, if you have a favorite rescue or shelter, donate a little to them.
These dogs can bring so much to our lives, but only when we know about them. Many, many thanks just for reading all this.
