This year’s IREC competition was an incredible journey for our team! After months of dedication, innovation, and hard work, our rocket Sunburst successfully launched and was fully recovered on June 12th, earning us 6th place in the 30k COTS category! 🚀

With the Launch Canada Challenge fast approaching, our team is already back in the workshop, making improvements and getting Sunburst ready for its next flight. Stay tuned for our next competition journey!

UBC Rocket has just launched a crowdfunding campaign to help cover expenses for our three competitions coming up this summer! This is our most ambitious year yet, with five big projects competing in at least one competition. Most notably, all of our projects will be competing in the 2025 Launch Canada Challenge this August!

We are so grateful to be able to work on and launch our amazing creations, but unfortunately they come at high costs. We need your support to fund our solid rocket motors, fuel and oxidizer for our liquid rocket launch and hotfire operations, as well as any competition entry and travel costs.
