Tuesday Tip: Use the “Recurring Transaction” Trick for One-Time Prep Efficiency

Most people think recurring transactions are only for monthly bills or invoices, but here’s the twist:

• You can create a recurring transaction set to “Reminder” for things you don’t want to automatically post, like:
o Seasonal expenses
o Quarterly payments
o Special client billing reminders

💡 Why it’s clever: You get a pre-filled template ready to go without accidentally posting it automatically. It’s basically a time-saving “form prep” trick that reduces typos and duplicate entry.

✅ Quick Setup:
1. Go to the transaction (Invoice, Expense, Bill, etc.)
2. Click Make Recurring
3. Choose “Reminder” instead of “Scheduled”
4. Set the frequency for when you want QuickBooks to remind you

Next time you need it, QuickBooks pops it up with everything pre-filled—no copy-paste or retyping needed.
