Penn State Harrisburg Honors Programs

Thursday evening was a perfect evening to paddle on the Swatara Creek. Students learned about the historic waterway and it's importance as part of the Union Canal. Some students were kayaking for the first time.

Last week, our senior honors students presented their final theses. Eleven students presented research in fields ranging from Finance to Mechanical Engineering. The thesis is a year-long research project that only a select few can complete. Congratulations to all our presenters.

On Monday, December 2nd, Senior Mechanical Engineering student Caden Kurzenknabe presented his Schreyer Honors College Thesis entitled "Antimicrobial Silver Nanoparticles (AgNPs) Coating of Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) Spinal Cages." Caden celebrated with his family and thesis supervisor Dr. Ola Rashwan, and thesis reader Dr. Nik Tsotakos. Congratulations Caden!

Innovative approaches to small business success with the Truist Foundation As a child, East Petersburg native Aiden Beiler always loved the game Monopoly - so much so that his family created a 20-by-20-foot wooden Monopoly game board for his 7th
