Need help battling Invasive Plants on your property or help determining what to use as replacement plants?

For these garden invaders, American Landscape Renaissance LLC can provide Integrated Pest Management (IPM) services including Cultural, Mechanical, Biological, and now Chemical methods as a Licensed Pesticide Business and Certified Applicator on-staff through the Delaware Department of Agriculture (DDA).

We specialize in Native Plants and the other side of that coin is combating Invasive Plants we frequently find in the residential landscapes we service. Here is "The Invasive Plant List" administered by DDA - https://agriculture.delaware.gov/plant-industries/nursery-inspection/

A recent project included mechanical methods where we physically removed Japanese Barberry - Berberis thunbergii (plus all their roots) and replaced with a cultivar of our native Atlantic Ninebark - Physocarpus opulifolius 'Little Devil'. Flowers and foliage that do not disappoint each year, and oh yeah, no thorns!

"Just put the plants back" - Dr. Doug Tallamy

As we cap off and as the snow finally melts for the year we can focus on our landscapes!

American Landscape Renaissance LLC is here to help tackle Invasive Plants running amuck on your property. We can then help design and provide native alternatives specific to your site conditions. We are here to help put the plants back!

In MOT, we see tons of evidence of Invasive Species impacting our local ecosystems, from the Callery Pears lining Route 1, the English Ivy climbing trees in Odessa, Phragmites australis subsp. australis smothering our marshes, Chinese Wisteria popping up along our roads and on fencelines, and when we look into the forest understory even more problem plants like Burning Bush and Japanese Barberry pushing out native shrubs.

Here is the "Official List" for Delaware Invasive Plants: https://agriculture.delaware.gov/plant-industries/nursery-inspection/, administered by the Delaware Department of Agriculture (DDA) and DE Invasive Plants Law.

We can all make a tangible impact in our own private landscapes by switching out invasive plants with Natives which in-turn can bring vibrant life to our gardens and provide the below functions:
1. Supporting Food Webs, starts with Native Plants - "If you build it, they will come"
2. Help Protect the Watershed, Native Plants filter water and aid in erosion
3. Sequester Carbon - Native Plants and Trees aid and in mass planting can become phenomenal Carbon sinks
4. Pollination Domination
