Hot dog summer? Not on our watch. ☀️🐶
Heatstroke can develop quickly and become life-threatening, even on days that don't seem excessively hot. Pets can overheat during walks, outdoor play, time in the yard, or simply by spending too much time in the sun.
A few simple precautions, like avoiding midday heat, providing plenty of fresh water and shade, and limiting strenuous activity on hot days, can go a long way in keeping your pet safe this summer. 💙

Bentley is headed home after surgery with Dr. Michael Hitt at Stratford Veterinary and Referral Center 💙
After breaking his leg, Bentley needed orthopedic surgery and specialized care to help him get back on his paws. Thanks to support from the Kodiak Cares Foundation and the Pieper Olson Foundation, his family was able to move forward with the treatment he needed.
We're so proud of Dr. Hitt, Cassie (CVT), Harmony (Surgical Assistant), and our entire Stratford team for the compassionate care they provided throughout Bentley's stay. We're also incredibly grateful to the organizations that helped make this possible.
