The FREE Strength Through Stillness yoga sessions are still running through the Spagnoli Family Cancer Center at Garnet Health Medical Center! 🧘‍♀️

Our July classes will be held on July 14 and July 28 from 10:30 am - 11:15 am.

These sessions are offered to those with cancer who are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation. Sessions are also available to those who have completed their treatment in the last 6 months.

Mats and equipment will be provided. You do not have to be a patient of Garnet Health to participate.

Recently, the Garnet Health Medical Center Nursing Congress’ Interdisciplinary Community & Patient Experience Committee ventured to Albany to attend and speak at the 2026 New York State Food Summit!

This biennial event unites anti-hunger and nutrition security stakeholders from across the state, including service providers, academics, advocates, policymakers, and community leaders.

Christopher Costello, RN, MSN, COHN-S, Nursing Service Administrator for Medical-Surgical & Dialysis Services at Garnet Health, sat on a panel with representatives to discuss Food as Medicine Connection: Bringing together community members and expanding access to nutrition services. Chris highlighted the work of Garnet Health’s Food Farmacy program, the impact on patients, and plans on how we can increase engagement and distribution of the medically tailored bags of food.
