Slide 2 — Dec 22, 2025 | almost 1 month postpartum
I didn’t “bounce back”. I did nothing, and I let my body recover. I laid around most of the time and just snuggled and breastfeed baby. That was my main job.
At around 3 weeks postpartum, I started very light stretches. By 4 weeks, I added 5-minute indoor walks. I carried nothing except my baby. Everything else could wait, or someone else handled it for me. Rest and healing came first.
Slide 3 — March 16 | 3 months postpartum
I started strength training using only what my baby weighed, gradually building from weeks 6–12. My focus was mind-to-muscle connection, breathing properly, and learning to move again gently. I also made sure I was fueling my body with enough calories to support breastfeeding.
I didn’t go heavy because my back was still sore from constant breastfeeding and broken sleep. My hips also felt really off and loose from relaxin still being in my body. I was still adjusting physically, but slowly starting to feel stronger again.
As someone who’s been in the fitness industry for almost a decade, it’s honestly been hard looking at myself and seeing what my brain labels as “unfit.” I know a lot of that is just noise from my own expectations and the world I work in, but postpartum has really challenged that in ways I didn’t expect.
Pregnancy and postpartum change everything. Our bodies go through so much, and our babies will never be this small again. Right now, my focus isn’t chasing an old version of myself. it’s being the healthiest, strongest, most present mom I can be for my daughter.
Having a daughter has shifted something in me. I know she will look at how I treat myself and learn from it. So I want to show her self-respect, patience, and care, not pressure or criticism.
And the truth I always remind my clients still stands: consistency wins. If you show up for yourself in small ways every day, you are making progress even when you don’t see it yet. It compounds, like interest. That 1% better mindset matters more than anything. Over time, it becomes everything.
