Dear friends, today we don’t have a story for you from the world of Tivoros-1. Instead we would like to unveil our website and cordially invite you to check it out for yourselves. For those of you that have followed our short stories so far, the website offers a much longer and more detailed version of the history of Tivoros-1, its star system, and some other bits of “trivia”. For everyone else that’s curious, the website also has a lot of info about the game itself, how it works, the people behind TGT-1 and much more. And don’t worry, we have many more stories to tell you, all in due course.

Testing Ground - Tivoros-1 Fast-paced Multiplayer Math Game

05/20/2021

The cataclysm that had devastated the Tivoros Star System lead to a dramatic transformation of its lonely planet. The once barren rock was now a colorful mixture of nature’s elements. The planet stopped rotating leaving one hemisphere permanently scorched while the other experienced permanent night and sub-zero temperatures. A narrow strip of almost livable conditions formed where the two hemispheres collided.
Many came to examine the anomaly but few were successful, mainly due to Tivoros-1’s hazardous conditions. Shortly after, the gaze of the galaxy turned elsewhere and the planet was once again forgotten. Eons later, adventurers from the young human race of Earth stumbled across the half-burning half-frozen planet on the edge of the galaxy, just like so many before them. Only this time, the planet was no longer empty.

Tivoros-1 did not always look like this. Many millennia ago, when it was discovered by the long-extinct alien civilization of Rivath, the planet resembled a barren, lifeless rock with scarce resources. With little of value and far away from galactic hubs, Tivoros-1 did not attract much attention. The system contained one more world – Zirit. Unlike its sibling, this planet served as a forward mining and research colony until its resources were exhausted.
Galactic turmoil and conflict eventually lead to the complete abandonment of Zirit and its subsequent destruction leaving Tivoros-1 the sole inhabitant of the remote system. We cannot be sure how much time had passed since its discovery, but at one point in history, the many eyes of the galaxy turned to Tivoros-1 once again. The cause – a cosmic anomaly of devastating proportions shook the Tivoros Star System. No one can be sure what caused it precisely since no one paid attention to this dark corner of the galaxy. Many hypotheses and conspiracy theories spread like wildfire, ranging from supernovas to weapons of mass destruction, to dark gods even. But no one could deny the result: Tivoros-1 was no longer what it once was and it was no longer a barren gray rock.
