Today's the day! The 2026 Summer Reading Program kick-off event will be at the library from 11 to 2 pm. Participate in a scavenger hunt, make and take home a fun craft, and not only get a free ice cream but a free mini flying disc when you sign up for Summer Reading. The Discovery Center will also be here from 1 to 2 with a great fossil craft that ties into this year's theme "Unearth a Story".

The Summer Reading Program is for all kids ages 0 - 18. There are two Grand Prize category choices, one for ages 0 -11 and the other for 12 - 18 years old. We've got some great Grand Prizes this year as well as weekly prizes for both age categories. We hope to see you on Saturday!

If you can't make it to the event, just go to MyMidLib.org and register starting on Saturday. Or register at the front desk the next time you come into the library. Reading starts next week on Monday, 6/8.

It may not quite be Summer yet, but it is at Storytime this week! Bring your favorite pre-schooler to meet Miss Jenny and learn about all the fun activities and places that mean it's summer. The same stories are read at each storytime, so you can come Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday for the same singing, dancing and stories. Miss Jenny can't wait to see you!
