So, for all my friends far & wide (outside MA), check your county registry website to see if they offer similar alerts.

Why can so few buyers afford new construction homes? Put today’s interest rates aside, because this has been the case for years. The data below shows the simple issue of supply & demand. Add to this the anecdotal feedback I’ve gotten from builders who say there’s just no profit in building “starter homes” because of the high costs of land & building materials. Collectively, this is why there’s so few new construction single-family homes available, and those that we do see are mostly high-priced luxury homes.
