I have to get better at posting stuff. This morning woke up to the phrase the cows are out. Turns out Foamy decided to snap a fence post and take out the whole panel.
So there was a lot of unplanned fence work for today. Replaced all of the welded and woven wire with feed lot panels. Installed another gate, wide enough for the tractor to get in and out. Now the cows are mad because they can't run off.

Is is with despair, I have to announce that we lost one of our holstein heifer calves this morning.

She was sick when we got her in February and been fighting ever since, it appears she decided she was tired and gave it up sometime early this morning. She will be missed.

Looking to make a bulk purchase of vegetables on Friday morning, if anyone is interested in going in on it and getting a share, let me know.
I figure we will be doing a lot of canning Friday afternoon.

If there is enough interest I can get more if I know ahead of time.
