PATHWAYS OF PROGRESS | Public Art

From concept to creation. A journey of color, movement, and transformation.

A behind-the-scenes look at the creative process of Pathways of Progress, a dimensional public art installation created for the Florida Department of Transportation in Ocala, Florida. Ocala Cultural Arts Marion Cultural Alliance Ocala/Marion County, FL Official FDOT Instagram

Inspired by Marion County’s equestrian heritage, transportation history, and natural landscapes, this piece brings together 60–80 individually crafted PVC elements, layered, painted, and assembled to create a vibrant composition celebrating connection, evolution, and progress.

Every layer tells part of the story. Every color brings it to life.

Art that connects people, places, and history.

Still feeling so grateful for the opening night of Nature Within. 🤍🌿

Thank you to everyone who came by, shared this special moment with me, and took the time to experience the exhibition. Your presence, your words, and your connection with the work mean more than I can express.

To my family and friends, thank you for your constant love and support throughout this journey. And to MIFA, thank you for the opportunity to bring this exhibition to life and for being such an important part of my artistic growth. SoniaHidalgo_Art Shirley Moreira MIAMI INTERNATIONAL FINE ARTS
