I try to walk after every meal, even if it's just through my very congested Miami neighborhood.
It helps my digestion, energy, blood sugar, and honestly just helps me feel better overall.
Fresh air, sunlight, movement, and a little nervous system reset all from one simple habit.
A good reminder that health doesn't always have to be complicated.

to Mother's Day last month
A beach day with my babies, brunch with some amazing moms, lots of laughter, and one of those days where I just felt really grateful.
Motherhood has changed me in so many ways.
My kids have taught me patience, softness, resilience, perspective, and honestly, they've helped me discover parts of myself I never would've met otherwise.
Everything I do is rooted in the life we're building together, and I'll never stop being grateful that I get to be their mom.
They've brought so much joy and purpose into my life, and I hope they always know how deeply loved they are.

Little office refresh
Sometimes a small change in your space can make such a big difference in your energy and creativity.
The first slide is the after.
Second slide is the before.
And the third slide is during the process.
A little reorganizing, a few fresh touches, and suddenly everything feels lighter again.
Spring always puts me in the mood to reset everything.
When families hear an Alzheimer's diagnosis, they often ask what treatment or supplement they should try next.
Dr. Sokol reminds us that sometimes the biggest impact comes from the basics: a structured routine, healthy habits, staying active, and focusing on what matters most to the person.
Every journey is different, and care should always reflect a person's goals and values.
At a recent longevity panel, Dr. Sokol and Liz Nieves shared something that really shifted the way I think about aging.
We’ve been conditioned to focus on lifespan, living longer.
But what’s the point of more years…if those years are spent disconnected from the people you love, unable to enjoy your life, or without the independence that gives life meaning?
That’s where the conversation around longevity becomes so much deeper. True longevity isn’t just about adding years. It’s about protecting quality of life.
For those wanting to support long-term cognitive health and age more intentionally, they shared a framework that was refreshingly simple:
✨ Live as well as possible
✨ Live as long as possible
✨ Live as safely as possible
✨ Live as independently as possible
That really stayed with me.
Because somewhere along the way, health became so complicated. But the foundation of wellness is often found in the small, consistent things we do every day. How we move. How we eat. How we rest. How we connect with other people.
That’s the kind of longevity I think more of us are actually looking for. 🤍
What if so much of how we age isn’t just genetics… but the way we live every day?
I recently listened to Dr. Sokol talk about Alzheimer’s and dementia prevention, and one statistic really stayed with me:
Up to 45% of risk may be connected to lifestyle and environmental factors.
Not perfection. Not expensive biohacks. Just the everyday things we often overlook.
Things like:
• Prioritizing sleep
• Moving your body consistently
• Staying socially connected
• Eating in a way that supports your brain and body
• Continuing to learn and stay mentally engaged
Working in elder care through , I see every day how much quality of life matters as we age.
And while none of us can control everything, I do believe the small choices we make consistently add up over time.
It’s a good reminder that taking care of ourselves now isn’t selfish… It’s an investment in our future.
The Repeater
Dear Caregiver Corner,
My mom has started repeating the same questions over and over again throughout the day. At first, I tried to be patient and answer her every time, but now I’m finding myself getting frustrated and overwhelmed. It feels constant, and I don’t know how to handle it without losing my patience. What should I do?

You can build a business…Be present for your kids…
And still grow into the person you’re meant to be.
It won’t always feel balanced. But it will always be worth it.
This life isn’t perfect, but it’s meaningful.

I recently completed a 3-day fast, and it honestly gave my body the reset I didn’t realize I needed.
Not just physically, but mentally too.
There’s something powerful about slowing down, being intentional, and giving your body space to heal.
Breaking my fast was simple but intentional: A nourishing meal with protein, healthy fats, and something warm to ease my body back in.
It reminded me that healing doesn’t always come from doing more… sometimes it comes from doing less. 🤍

“There is no way to be a perfect mother, and a million ways to be a good one.”— Jill Churchill
Some days are structured.
Some days are messy.
Some days feel like a win just making it to bedtime.
But at the end of it all… the love is what matters most.
