This project started as a simple cabinet refresh for a client on a budget.

After cleaning years of grease, sanding every surface, removing old glue residue, and carefully preparing the cabinets, I realized something: painting by hand was going to take forever and the finish still wouldn’t be as smooth as I wanted.

So I invested in my first Graco airless sprayer.

To be honest, that machine took a big bite out of the project’s profit, but sometimes growth requires investment.

The result was worth it. A smoother finish, faster production, and a kitchen that looks completely refreshed without the cost of a full remodel.

This project started with a broken porch tile.

The plan was simple: replace it. The reality was different.

After visiting seven stores and searching online, I couldn’t find a matching tile. The size, thickness, and color were all unique, and buying an entire box for one small repair didn’t make sense for the customer.

Instead of giving up, I rebuilt the missing section by hand.

The damaged area was cleaned, reinforced, rebuilt with concrete repair material, carefully shaped, sanded, and color-matched through multiple paint layers until it blended naturally with the surrounding tile.

Sometimes the best solution isn’t replacement. It’s finding a way to restore what’s already there.

Chair leg repair done right.

This chair had already been repaired before, but the old fix failed. I removed all the old glue, rebuilt the damaged connection, applied professional adhesive, reinforced it with hardwood dowels, and added structural screws for extra strength.

The result is a solid repair built to last and stronger than the previous installation.

This door was making loud squeaking noises every time it opened, so I serviced the hinges, cleaned the moving parts, applied lubricant properly, and restored smooth quiet operation.

And yes… real repair work includes unexpected moments too. While reinstalling the hinge pins, some lubricant sprayed out onto the trim, but I cleaned everything immediately and finished the job properly.
