As someone who has never felt at home in their own body, as most of us trans people do, someone who was terrified of having to take their shirt off at the beach, this is a big deal for me. My medical transition has absolutely been necessary at improving my quality of life and satiating a lot of my dysphoria.

You certainly do not need hormones to be trans but for the people that do desire to medically transition that access needs to be more readily available.
