Avantgarde to the fashion store

A little office is hidden in two 40' shipping containers.

I designed this Mountain Shelter, drawing inspiration from my husband's captivating artwork, "Clouds" – a kinetic photo sculpture featured in the second picture. The structure itself is a modular marvel constructed using 20' prefab shipping containers. I'm drawn to this method of construction for its simplicity, speed, affordability, and sustainability.

The versatility of shipping containers is remarkable. They're readily available, easy to prepare and deliver, and have a potential lifespan of up to 70 years with proper care. Maintenance, replacement, upgrades, and expansion are all relatively straightforward. My passion lies in creating container-based designs that seamlessly blend into their surroundings. The unique weather conditions of the mountains influenced my decision to incorporate additional decorative panels.

As an artist, I'm deeply inspired by my husband's kinetic art experiments. Collaborating, we crafted a pattern that mirrors the natural sky, glistening in chromed stainless steel through its repetition.

We've undertaken various projects as the duo 'R to Do' in the past, but recently, we explored different professional paths. Now, fresh opportunities have surfaced, reigniting our passion for artistic and architectural innovation. We're excited to rekindle our journey as an Artist and Architect duo, focusing on creating uniquely artistic designs for Miami's exterior and interior architecture.
