I may compete in 3 weeks , I may not.
.Another diary entry lol 📝
No decision yet, the body & the honesty in my circle will tell me.
People may assume running multiple shows throughout the year means constantly pushing harder, digging deeper, adding more cardio & eating less food.
If managed well from the moment you step off of stage, it’s actually the opposite (feedback depending - this is based off of mine).
Right now the goal is recovery: minimal steps, 0 cardio, calories based on feedback throughout the day (2.2-2.5k) 3 sessions this week with reps in reserve.
We’re not trying to push the body in any direction. We’re allowing it to come back to “life” after 6 shows in 12 weeks.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned from competing year on year is that being a good competitor isn’t about how hard you can push. It’s about knowing when to stop pushing & having the trust to do less.
Every decision right now is based on my individual biofeedback: health (bloods this week Imran Khan MSc, MSc, PhD (ra) Researcher Hannah Burton) digestion, recovery, energy, performance, day to day function ..& the visuals.
As much as PMDD will always influence some of these variables, we’re managing even in this phase, by giving the body what it needs (recovery).
If the biofeedback continues to trend in the right direction, we will take this opportunity before we shut it down for 12 weeks prior to Olympia 🤞..If not, we don’t.
I’m currently 5th in the points out of 25, so as it stands, we’re qualified & I’d really like to keep it that way 🥹🤞
Not from the wins I had hoped for, but nevertheless, I’ve worked hard for the points & right now we’re in the mix 🙏
Another show would provide valuable data heading into the Olympia, it would fall outside of a PMDD affected peak week (we’ve had many of those being a variable 🙈) & of course, it would hopefully secure a few more points🤞That would then allow us to solidify our position, step back & focus on the Olympia with 12w to continue to refine & streamline my physique (based on my feedback in my last post).

Just being.. together. A day well spent, no set plans, no rush, no idea where we were going, just good company, new streets & memories made in the little moments in France 🇫🇷❤️🌍

Contest prep or offseason.. we allllllll have our days where we resemble this LOL, but it’s great, we’re great, everything’s great.. Phahaha 😂👊😉
