Alright Stop! You want the Real Scoop on Essence??? I’ve been at least 23 Times so here’s THE REAL STORY... The Definitive Essence Festival Breakdown! (in the words of Love Jones let me break it down so it shall continually and forever be broke!) Straight no Chaser!!!

A lot of Women are down to smash, married, single, whatever. They just are, Dudes at home (Husbands, Boyfriends, Side Jawns back at the crib whatever) are coming up short, on bu****it, played out, mailing it in, whatever! That’s what grown People do, sometimes..... Guys are always down, like always, so yeah, THAT PART, as y’all say. Period. Don’t be mad, just be great! At it!

The Concert is the Bomb for two nights Max, it ends Mad late, goes forever and people sleep a lot, they’ve been drinking all day and the main stage takes crazy breaks between acts, I’ve sat on the floor, in VIP in the very front and slept through mad acts! Oh and get floor seats and have drinks in the back if you can, makes for a much better experience. If you sit up high the Superdome is massive. You’ll be watching artists like 20 minutes after they’ve left the stage...... the concert is like a rumor in the nosebleeds, s**t is crazy, trust me!

A lot of people get wasted thinking they can drink more than they can. You can’t! Drinking from 12pm till 5am requires pacing, and food, and some water mixed in, with breaks..... Hurricanes, three for 1 Coronas, whatever, you’re not a Hero! Millions have tried, and lost! Liquor is like the Internet, Undefeated! Never lost!!!

The Facebook Groups/Pages are Dope, show some love to the Admins who had vision and ran with it! Some serious Black Magic!

Razzoo Bar & Patio and those 3 for 1 drinks on Bourbon Street bangs Every day! But on weekends (Friday to Sunday) after 9 it’s a Real Zoo, Get Out!!!
