A typical day of eating for me these days (swipe over): balanced, satisfying, and full of foods I love (Currently in maintenance with the goal of building muscle after fat loss last year- this requires two different calorie approaches- at 2200ish calories/day! Each person is unique and as a coach I work with you to determine your calorie and macro needs based on your goals)
Four years ago, I kicked off my fitness journey terrified of carbs (see the first photos). I thought I wasnât âeating enough,â so thatâs why I was gaining weight. I knew âhealthyâ and âcleanâ eating inside out, but the truth? You can eat super healthy all day and still gain fat if youâre not aware of the basics! And most people are eating way more calories than they realize- the only way to gain fat.
I had no clue about calories or macros because Iâd never truly tracked or understood Nutrition 101. Starting to log my food changed everything. It wasnât restrictive: it was eye-opening. Tracking taught me how calories drive weight management (for everyone, no exceptions) and how to fuel properly with protein, carbs, and fats to feel great and change my body composition.
Awareness led to food freedom. I stopped seeing foods as âgoodâ or âbadâ. All foods fit when you know how to make them work. No more guessing, or fearing foods.
Right now, these meals fuel my maintenance phase perfectly. In a deficit (fat loss), my plates would look super similar, just with tweaks for more volume and fewer calories (think bigger salads, extra veggies, leaner proteins) to stay full while progressing.
Over these 4 years, Iâve lost 40+ lbs, built muscle, totally transformed my body composition... and my mindset around food. And thatâs in my 40s, in perimenopause!

Late 30s â just turned 41 (deep in perimenopause).
