Well that sucked! Going into a race sick and coming off injury isn’t a great idea. The first 33 miles were awesome, coming in around 6 hours. From there everything went downhill fast. Every part of my body hurt, no energy, nauseous, and sick all over. I ended up calling it quits after struggling in the third loop to finish at 50 miles.
That was a super tough decision but I also don’t want to wreck my body and delay training for this summer either. It was still a great time, wonderful views and met some cool people. Hopefully can come back next year to the Long Haul 100 to redeem myself!

8 Hours of Hell is a fitting name for this race. A 3.1 mile loop through shin deep water, mud, sand and rocks as many times as you can in 8 hours. With the tremendous heat I managed to get 11 loops in under the 8 hour mark and took 1st place!! Man does that feel good 😊 😃

What a weekend! Running followed by Saharan dust covered beach, Inter Miami soccer, more running, recovery and then a free ducky at the drive through

The views are always nice on these runs, but still not sure what else keeps driving me to do these. Just signed up for two more 🤪

Solid 32 mile training run today. Pushing the total miles higher each week is getting harder and harder but only 10 weeks left so let’s keep it up!
