I’m honored to be joining an incredible lineup of musicians and artists on March 7 from 7:45–9:00pm on the legendary Le Jeune Stage.

Happy 13 years to my greatest proof that God hears my prayers.

For those who know me, you understand how instrumental D’Angelo’s music, art, and spirit was in inspiring me to create my own work. I know God used his music to reach me and to align me with His purpose. I remain driven to do the same for others. I always hoped we’d meet one day. I pray we still will.

Truth is his work made me realize I’d never be as great as him. He was a one man genre. However, I learned I might as well work to be the best version of myself. I’m still working on it.

I learned to play an instrument because of D’Angelo. I record using live instrumentation because of D’Angelo. Music has granted me some of the most incredible experiences of my life, but most important, music brought me to Christ. As much as D’Angelo’s work inspired me to create, it taught me most to serve.

We are all anointed with gifts to express the beauty that exists in the world. D’Angelo had a special anointing. Thank you for igniting the eternal creative spark.
