Part 5 : Auf Wiedersehen Wien
And so my journey back to my roots closes a chapter in my life for now.

I leave a piece of my heart, my son Joseph who’s birthday is today and in graduate school in Wein. Alles Gute zum Geburtstag, Joseph!

Our trip didn’t disappoint through the last supper, actually a swim and breakfast and stays at one of the most beautiful hotels .

From start to finish 5 star, from a yummy chocolate welcome box, a pillow menu, Japanese style toilets in our room, and one of the nicest hotel pools and spas in the world.

The brunch was off the charts and included with our stay.

As I learned working with an Austrian genealogist my family name
Glück in which in German means luck, fortune and happiness.

And while my life has had its share of challenging circumstances, my mom gave me the greatest gift of all, to persevere even when faced with obstacles.

I am so grateful for her lessons, she was brilliant and beautiful and a really tough act to follow. I have tried my best and have found true happiness and fortune from within. I thank her in my prayers everyday and I know she is listening.

I am blessed to have the most beautiful husband, also a gift and really smart guy who always makes me feel important, special and seen even in the midst of his busy life in RE.

And I most blessed with the gift of my children and granddaughters, my “fortune” as my namesake suggests.

Thank you for taking this journey with me to my roots.
