As you may know, the government shutdown has placed an even greater burden on the vulnerable children, seniors and families we serve across our 26 Carrfour communities. Residents who were already living on the margins are now facing worsening food insecurity and financial instability as critical public programs experience delays and disruptions.

Sandra Newson, Vice President of Resident Services at Carrfour and Chair of the Florida Supportive Housing Coalition Board, joined over 1,800 attendees at the Florida Behavioral Health Conference 2024 in Orlando. Alongside Stephanie Sutton, Executive Director of FSHC, they promoted the Coalition’s work and upcoming Summit in St. Petersburg. Sandra also co-presented on innovative housing solutions for those with serious mental illness.

City of Miami Beach Commissioner Tanya Bhatt visited Harding Village, a 92-unit supportive housing community for formerly homeless adults with disabilities, including 32 veterans. We are grateful for Commissioner Bhatt’s support and leadership!
