a message from our GM/Bev Director/Resident Baddie:

“I have worked in hospitality over 20 years now; and in that time I have worked in some incredible places, formed lifelong friendships, and forever memories. That’s why when I say “Gramps is my favorite job I’ve ever had” that is not a statement I say lightly.

Memories like watching some of the most eclectic music acts, sleeping in Shirley’s in order to open after staying to close, getting to fully explore my creativity in the cocktail world and having a team that is just as excited to explore as well, the growth of djs and musicians just starting out to flourishing, and Adam gifting Jason Momoa the shirt off his back because he was sad we were out of shirts (a rare occurrence, I know).

I’ve said it to my team many times; what we have had at Gramps is incredibly rare. A place where going to work is something we look forward to. A place that not only lets us be ourselves, but encourages it. A place that commends creativity. A community of regulars that practically feel like family. A team that is always ready to help out extra. A team that when we don’t see each other for a week, it feels like a month…this will be the hardest adjustment.

While I’m no doubt sad this time is coming to an end, I can only be so incredibly grateful for the time we’ve had. Gramps really was one of kind, and that love will last forever 🧡“ -
