After a disappointing local meet to finish off last year, had the perfect bounce back meet at Nationals this year!
Jay was able to execute on the day hitting all our top end 3rd attempts finishing just 2.5 kg away from his squat PR, tying his bench PR, hitting a 2.5 kg deadlift PR, and tying his total PR. During this last training cycle, Jay put a greater focus on his technique, training to the standards, and recovery, and it showed in his performance on the biggest stage.

Another successful National Championship!
I had many athletes reach out to me this year and given the tight schedule and multiple platforms, I had to request some help. Couldn’t have done it without coaches and ! If you ever need help at a competition, be sure to reach out to them.
And a big thank you to all the athletes who trusted in us to work with them in order to achieve all their goals for the championship. You all are the best!
Now, Nationals season is done and the focus shifts towards Worlds and North Americans.
When you’re peaking for a competition, it’s important to taper your training into the day of the competition. This can be reducing volume, intensity, and/or effort in order to allow fatigue to dissipate from your body in order to maximize your performance.
